Charlie was born and raised in Minnesota. He spent his youth involved in multiple sports. Being one of four brothers who grew up wrestling he quickly became competitive. Instead of pursuing sports at a collegiate level he joined full time ministry right out of high school. After traveling all over the world and living in multiple different states he and his family moved back to Minnesota to lay down roots.
In the fall of 2015 a friend found Charlie working out by himself and invited him to workout together. He quickly fell in love with the community it provided and the way it pushed him to places he had not been. Immediately he wanted to help others use CrossFit to help change their lives so he became a coach. The ability to be able to help impact people’s lives outside of the gym by what is done in the gym motivates him in his development as a coach and athlete.
Outside of the gym Charlie likes anything outdoors, including fishing, hunting, camping, and hiking. Above these he loves spending every free second with his lovely wife and two daughters.
